You may check if this way is useful: 1. Highlight a graphic style in the Graphic Styles panel 2. Select menu > Same > Graphic Style 3. Select menu > Inverse If there are no locked or hidden objects / layers you should now get a selection of all objects to which the graphic style is not applied. Then you can apply the style to them. In case this does not work as expected, you may share a sample Illustrator file for inspection.

The tricky part that sometimes may be pretty confusing: If your initial document is a large canvas document (and thus does not allow to export to .dxf) and if this file is changed to a "normal" non-large-canvas document (e.g. 20 × 40 mm), then the .dxf export option will still not be availabe in the small document.

You can highlight a graphic style in the Graphic Styles panel an then go to Select menu > Same > Graphic Style. That should select all objects to which the style is applied. Is that something you're looking for?

Abhishek, one may call the behaviour as expected or as designed, but a question certainly remains: Is the current behaviour useful? At the moment (and in many older Illustrator versions) the Scale percentage info is rather an internal calculation info based on the 72 ppi postulate. I'd assume that a majority of Illustrator users are constantly confused about that potentially or obviously misleading approach and they may prefer a behaviour similar to what InDesign provides.

What exactly do you mean by "entering a numeric value"? The number of horizontal / vertical guides on one or several artboards? Moving existing guides to a specific position? Moving by a specific distance? Or something else?

You may also select all lines and take a look at the Transform panel. If there is a section called Line Properties, then the lines are live shapes and you can set a uniform length in the Line Length field. If the lines are not live shapes, you may select them all and convert them to live shapes via Object menu > Shape > Convert to Shape. Note that this will only work if each line consists of exactly two anchor points. Otherwise Illustrator fails to convert them to live shapes. Also note that currently there is no way to set a specific reference point if you are setting the lengths of live line shapes in the Transform panel.

That is in the Export for Screens dialog in the latest Illustrator version, right? I was referring to AI 30.0. Anyway, do you see this checkbox in all possible Save / Export dialogs (.jpg via Export As, .jpg via Save for Web, .pdf and .svg via Save As)?

But pretty half-baked with .jpg, .pdf and .svg, since there are no checkboxes to include or not include the Artboard Fill colour, as far as I can see, Ton. It's automatically included as soon as it exists, right? Not ideal. Also, it won't be included when exporting to .jpg via Save for Web.

Yes, Doug, using "Your Fonts" with the favourite star labels is probably the most straightforward and reliable way for your purposes at the moment. Currently, the new custom libraries are rather embryonic and the User Interface of the CC Libraries panel and its general handling is, well, in need of many possible improvements. It's my pleasure to hear you again as well. I thought you already passed away peacefully, but fortunately you are a persistent man. Man!

Basically, the way you are using/updating traditional libraries is the common way. I do not know another way to speed up that procedure considerably. I think I can understand why you're not going to use CC Libraries for some reasons.

Doug, custom font libraries in the Character panel are pretty new (introduced in Illustrator 30.0) and they are not the same as the "Your Fonts" section. As a beginner you may also explore the capabilities of clipping masks, compound clipping masks, the Shape Builder tool, Live Paint, Pathfinder, the Shaper tool and sometimes even the Eraser tool.

I do not disagree, but in the Character panel there are a lot of options to filter and in the latest Illustrator version you can create custom font libraries. Currently not perfect, but promising as far as I can see.

Jacob, the real mystery was that the engine (or the entire construction) was not anchored at all. I always wondered how that actually worked. By the way, the skiers had to manually latch onto the tow rope with individual handles, which often caused some comic situations when beginners used the drag lift.

Peter, you are right that it was not overly massive, but you are wrong that it could not pull skiers up a hillside. It is an ancient mobile drag lift engine that was strong enough to pull about 40 adult skiers up a pretty steep slope at the same time. You unravelled the mystery. Congratulations.

I can also confirm the issue in Illustrator 30.0 and 29.8.2. The graphic style definition does not get transferred in this case. It's a shortcoming.

You are manually scaling the point text object, such that it exceeds the maximum allowed font size of 1296 pt in normal documents. Illustrator will then revert to the initial value (in your sample case: 555 pt). You can decuple this limit in large canvas documents.

In the latest version of Illustrator (30.0) you may also use the Perceptual method in the Gradient panel. I'd probably prefer Ton's advice, though.
